marzio sarno. swords sophomore. the tower. squad xi. anauel - angel of unity, guardian angel of bankers and commerce. bankrupt brat looks for new father figure in the trash.
i'm super down for friends! i flaked hardcore on plotting ahead of time, so i'm still working out who marzio is outside of his squad and his family?? he would probably encourage watson to come out of his shell a little bit, but in a kind of steamroller way. like, whether you like it or not we're doing this shit. do you think they became friends sometime last year, or would you want to play out them getting to know each other this year?
Watson was super withdrawn at first, so thus far I've only got one friend from last semester who is an older support, but perhaps they started talking a little more towards end of freshman year?
Reading through Marzio's bio, he seems like the sort of kid to have all sorts of energy, but not always the good kind, if that makes sense? And Watson is the sort of person who can quietly go along with nearly anything, if perhaps a little slower. Since Marzio's dad kinda screwed him over with the "man up" bs, he'd probably be quick to mistake Watson's stoic exterior for manliness when he's just really, really anxious lol. And Watson just gravitates towards larger than life personalities because they fill in all the cracks that he can't.
IDK, I just really think it'd be cool to see how they could develop and I want Watson to have friends and more, and I really like and sympathize with Marzio's backstory regarding his dad's man up stuff.
SORRY I TAKE SO LONG TO COMMENT BACK, you will soon learn I am very bad at following up even when my life is not a mess.
I feel like Watson being stoic and a quieter personality has led Marzio to believe that he is actually filled with deep wisdom, he just only speaks when he's got something profound to say. It also means he probably just thinks Watson knows random things in general, and asks Watson things instead of using Google.
I'm sorry Marzio is clearly not the brightest bulb here, but I think him just popping up any time he sees Watson on the journals to ask him some dumb question would foster some good journal interaction in order to kind of nail down a friendly dynamic. Also it'd hopefully be funny. Watson doesn't even need to know the answer to Marzio's questions, he is going to believe that Watson knows all no matter what.
Edited (oh god I hope this is coherent, i should be asleep) Date: 2018-09-11 06:31 am (UTC)
Don't worry, you were very coherent, much more than I was when I was falling asleep at three am and started talking about starfish to my friend? They have the patience of a saint, I swear. Also I saw somewhere in the OOC chat that you were having some trouble, and even without that I try my best to be understanding. I'm not good at keeping up with the OOC chat or just... talking to people in general lol. So don't worry. Finchwood isn't going anywhere fast, and I'm also slow as I try to learn how to touch base with people and balance school and work and personal life. I mean, I'm still learning that no one is going to bite my head off if I email them. I can't wait til I get the courage to ask about shipping.
Actually, yes, yes I can. That makes me even more anxious just thinking about it lol.
Anyway, I love that Marzio isn't the most intelligent! Honestly, reading over his app and his interactions with people has made a squishy, Marzio-sized place in my heart and I just want to give him a hug. Plus, Watson loves the idea that he's seen as so much smarter than people, so Marzio peppering him with random questions would fuel his ego to the nth degree.
He totally just googles whatever Marzio is asking if he doesn't know though. Tries to fuel this persona Marzio's built up around him lol.
